April 2025 Newsletter

On February 20, CAEP’s Board of Directors came together for an energizing

Strategic Planning Session led by Kent Rupert of Rupert Strategic Consulting Ltd. and Tracy Gardner of CAEP.

Fueled by valuable member feedback and a review of the Regional Economic Growth Strategy, the Board set a bold direction for the year ahead—identifying three

clear organizational goals:  Community Investor Profiles, Regional Investor Profiles, and Networking.

At the heart of the conversation was a renewed commitment to regionalism, resulting in a powerful new impact statement: Empowering Investment Attraction in Central Alberta. This vision supports local economic development and positions CAEP as a key connector in the investment ecosystem.

The session sparked several forward-focused action items, including:

  • modernizing CAEP’s Articles of Association

  • launching a provincial Government Relations Strategy

  • refreshing our communications approach, and

  • introducing an annual Fundraising Dinner to amplify advocacy and build meaningful connections.
