CAEP Three-Year Business Plan: Moving from Vision to Delivery

CAEP launched a new Three-Year Business Plan for regional economic development. Its purpose is to accelerate shared economic prosperity by building the regional capacity, connectivity and credibility that help members compete in the global marketplace.

The plan is built around five strategic objectives:

  1. Build trust and deliver visible wins

  2. Build a regional data hub

  3. Attract investment through Team Central Alberta

  4. Build member capacity and strengthen the regional economic development ecosystem

  5. Become financially independent

To keep this work accountable, CAEP will produce a Report Card with KPIs at each Spring and Fall General Meeting.

Strategic Plan 2025-2027

In February 2025, CAEP set a bold direction for the next two years with a new 2025 - 2027 Strategic Plan identifying three clear organizational goals:

  • Community Investor Profiles

  • Regional Investor Profiles

  • Networking

At the heart of the strategy is a powerful new impact statement: Empowering Investment Attraction in Central Alberta. This vision supports local economic development and positions CAEP as a key connector in the investment ecosystem.

It also reflects CAEP's commitment to deliver regional promotion strategies and partnerships that elevate Central Alberta's competitiveness.
