Announcement to CAEP Members

After careful consideration, the Board of Directors of the Central Alberta Economic Partnership (CAEP) has made the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of the organization. The dissolution process is expected to be completed within the next 60 days, subject to the completion of all applicable legal, financial, and regulatory requirements.
This decision reflects the changing economic development landscape in Central Alberta, evolving priorities among regional partners, and the financial realities of maintaining a sustainable regional organization. Despite significant efforts to explore future operating models, partners, and funding opportunities, the Board has concluded that dissolution is the most responsible course of action.
This decision was not made lightly. The Board recognizes and sincerely appreciates the commitment of our members, municipal partners, stakeholders, and supporters who have contributed to CAEP's work and the advancement of economic development throughout Central Alberta.
The Board is committed to conducting the dissolution in accordance with applicable legislation and CAEP's governing documents, ensuring an orderly, transparent, and responsible wind-up of the organization's affairs, including the fulfillment of all outstanding obligations.
Dissolving the organization will require a Special Resolution to be passed by CAEP members. The Special Resolution will be emailed to Member Designates within the next two weeks.
CAEP’s Fall General Meeting, and all other courses and events, will be cancelled. Any registration fees that were paid will be refunded.
